NEW SHOW OPENING 17TH FEBRUARY 2017
After the Fall is a three month residency project by Richard Sharples for the outdoor ELEMENTS gallery curated by Rebecca Feiner in Hackney, east London.
At 7pm on the evening of the 17th of February a large sculptural installation will be burnt in the yard. Then, over the following three months, the debris will be used to create new works in sculpture, animation and film exploring notions of identity, fragility, and mortality.
There will be four evening shows during the residency when the yard will be open for visitors to come and view the developing work at close quarters and meet the artist.
EVENING SHOWS: 6pm–9pm on:
17th Feb 17th Mar 14th April 12th May
NB: The evening shows coincide with private views of new shows in the main gallery upstairs, so you have the opportunity to see more artists and also somewhere warm and dry to go if you feel the need.
ELEMENTS is part of the LUBOMIROV ANGUS HUGHES GALLERY and the work can also be viewed (from above) from their windows when the gallery is open, or by appointment.
