DAPHNE and APOLLO ( bronze and copper resins)

DAPHNE and APOLLO were commissioned for a private garden in the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire. The sculpture of Daphne was first displayed at the Town Hall in Hebden Bridge as part of the annual arts festival before being installed in the hills above the village. Apollo joined her the following year. The fragmented, hollow figures are designed to encourage plants to grow through the structures.
