A giant skeletal cod made from shredded copies of the E.U. Common Fisheries Policy and other related E.U. documents.
The sculpture was used by the Worldwide Fund for Nature to help raise awareness about over-fishing in European waters. In the 30 years that the common fisheries policy has been in place stocks of cod have fallen by 80%.
The photographs below show the sculpture in Bremen in 2007 where it was being used as a focal point for the WWF campaign during a major E.U. conference where policy to determine the future of Europe's seas was being negotiated.
